After meeting Laura and Alex at our pre wedding consultation It made me excited for their wedding day. They were very excited about tying the knot and we both couldn’t believe how quickly the date came around!
After being together for many years they had chosen The waterfront - The Crows Nest at Barton Marina for their venue to get married, which of course is a great choice. It has the perfect combination when it comes to photography locations if you can brave the grass in heels and a white dress. One side is greenery and the other is quirky docks and fancy boutique shops. Considering the weather we’ve had over the last few weeks they were incredibly lucky on the day as it was dry throughout.
Although The Waterfront has a restaurant and bar which is open to the public, the area used for weddings has a private area upstairs which offers privacy and a gorgeous decor which is perfect for wedding photographs!
We spent the morning at the brides parents home doing the bridal prep photos. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed considering it was the morning of the wedding. There was a ridiculous amount of laughter, to the point where I might have cried a little due to laughing so much. The bride and the bridesmaids had their hair done by hair stylist Rebecca Bissell and their make up done by Tamsen Pawlowski-Mills and they all looked absolutely stunning, the girls did an amazing job.
All in all the day was great! It’s so lovely to get to witness two families joining together, even more so when they’re all so lovely!
Thank you Alex and Laura for choosing me to capture your day, it was an honour.
